These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website (www.purplebuddy.co.uk), services.

Purple Buddy Ltd is a family-run company providing companionship, cleaning, gardening, pet care, and handyman services across Derbyshire, Staffordshire, and Nottinghamshire.

3. SERVICES PROVIDED

Core Services:

  • Companionship and social support

  • Domestic cleaning and ironing

  • Gardening and outdoor maintenance

  • Pet care (sitting, walking, feeding)

  • Handyman services and odd jobs

 

Service Flexibility:

  • Services available individually or as packages

  • Regular scheduled appointments or ad hoc bookings

  • Customizable to meet individual needs and preferences

  • All services subject to staff availability and scheduling

 

4. BOOKING AND APPOINTMENTS

 

How to Book:

 

Booking Requirements:​

  • Emergency or same-day requests subject to availability

  • All bookings require confirmation from Purple Buddy

  • Specific requirements must be communicated at time of booking

 

Cancellation Policy:

  • More than 48 hours notice: No cancellation charge

  • 48 hours or less notice: 50% of service charge applies

  • 24 hours or less notice: Full service charge applies

  • Emergency cancellations will be considered on individual basis and may be exempt from charges

  • Repeated short-notice cancellations may affect future booking priority

 

Cancellation Process:

  • Contact us immediately via phone (01332 417 827), email (hello@purplebuddy.co.uk), or WhatsApp

  • Cancellation confirmation will be provided

  • Charges (if applicable) will be added to your next invoice

  • Genuine emergencies (illness, family emergencies) will be reviewed case-by-case

 

5. PRICING AND PAYMENT

 

Payment Terms:

  • Prices quoted are inclusive of standard travel within service areas

  • Extended travel areas subject to additional charges

  • Payment due within 7 days of service completion

  • Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, cash, card payments

 

Pricing Structure:

  • Individual service rates apply

  • Package deals available with savings of 15-18%

  • Prices subject to change with 30 days notice

  • Special rates may apply for regular, ongoing services

 

Late Payment:

  • Late payment charges may apply after 14 days

  • Services may be suspended for accounts over 30 days overdue

  • Debt recovery costs may be added to outstanding balances

 

6. STAFF AND SAFETY

 

Our Commitment:

  • All staff are DBS checked and vetted

  • Comprehensive liability insurance covers all services

  • Consistent staff assigned where possible

  • Professional, caring, and reliable service delivery

 

Client Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe working environment for staff

  • Disclose relevant health, mobility, or safety information

  • Ensure pets are safe and manageable during visits

  • Provide necessary access and equipment information

 

Safety Protocols:

  • Staff follow health and safety guidelines

  • Incident reporting procedures in place

  • Emergency contact information maintained

  • Insurance coverage protects both clients and staff

 

7. REFERRAL PROGRAM

 

£5 Referral Rewards:

  • Both referrer and new client receive £5 credit

  • New client must complete first paid service

  • Credits applied to future service payments

  • No limit on number of referrals

  • Referral credits expire after 12 months if unused

 

Referral Terms:

  • Referrals must be genuine new clients

  • Self-referrals or duplicate accounts not permitted

  • Purple Buddy reserves right to verify referral validity

  • Program terms subject to change with notice

 

8. WEBSITE USE

Acceptable Use:

  • Website for legitimate service inquiries and bookings only

  • No unauthorized commercial use

  • Respect intellectual property rights

  • No harmful or illegal activities

 

Content and Copyright:

  • All website content owned by Purple Buddy Ltd

  • Testimonials and reviews used with permission

  • Images and branding protected by copyright

  • User-generated content subject to our approval

 

9. LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

Our Liability:

  • Comprehensive liability insurance in place

  • Liability limited to direct damages from our negligence

  • Maximum liability capped at service value or £1,000 (whichever is greater)

  • Force majeure events exclude liability

 

Client Responsibilities:

  • Report damages or issues within 24 hours

  • Provide accurate information about property and requirements

  • Maintain adequate home insurance coverage

  • Secure valuable items during service visits

 

Exclusions:

  • Pre-existing damage or wear and tear

  • Damage from client's pets or family members

  • Issues arising from inadequate client information

  • Consequential or indirect losses

 

10. DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY

 

Information Handling:

  • Personal data processed according to our Privacy Policy

  • GDPR compliance maintained

  • Data shared only as necessary for service delivery

  • Client consent obtained for marketing communications

 

Confidentiality:

  • Staff bound by confidentiality agreements

  • Client information kept secure and private

  • No sharing of personal details without consent

  • Professional discretion maintained at all times

 

11. COMPLAINTS AND DISPUTES

 

Complaint Process:

  • Emergency or urgent medical situations

 

Service Boundaries:

  • Staff work within their training and capabilities

  • Specialist tasks referred to appropriate professionals

  • Safety always takes priority over service completion

  • Right to refuse unsafe or inappropriate requests

 

13. TERMINATION

 

Service Termination:

  • Either party may terminate with 7 days notice

  • Immediate termination for breach of terms

  • Outstanding payments due upon termination

  • Return of keys and access items required

 

Account Suspension:

  • Non-payment may result in service suspension

  • Inappropriate behaviour toward staff

  • Breach of safety requirements

  • Violation of these terms

 

14. CHANGES TO TERMS

 

Updates and Modifications:

  • Terms may be updated to reflect service changes

  • Legal requirement changes incorporated as needed

  • 30 days notice provided for significant changes

  • Continued use constitutes acceptance of new terms

 

Notification Methods:

  • Email to registered clients

  • Website posting

  • Postal notice if required

 

15. FORCE MAJEURE

 

Services may be suspended or delayed due to:

  • Extreme weather conditions

  • Government restrictions or lockdowns

  • Staff illness or emergency situations

  • Transportation disruptions

  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Alternative arrangements or rescheduling offered where possible.

 

16. GENERAL PROVISIONS

 

Entire Agreement:

  • These Terms constitute the complete agreement

  • Supersede all previous agreements or understandings

  • Individual service agreements may include additional terms

  • Verbal agreements must be confirmed in writing

 

Severability:

  • Invalid provisions don't affect remaining terms
